[Today's Lisa Zate Topic] The meaninglessness of discrimination in male cosmetics
For me, who was born almost 40 years ago, the times are really different. I never imagine that i would say what adults say all the time when i was a child. Due to one of Japanese big cosmetic companies used a man for their advertising on market.
In recent years, Since the life of American celebrities, in particular, can be seen directly on SNS, their friendship and, of course, gender boundaries have disappeared. 30,40 years ago was only man or woman. Actually, "Okama", "men love women's clothes", "men love make up", "Drag Queen", etc. When I was a kid, I thought that if I was born as a woman, I would live as a woman, but the reason for this is that people with disabilities in gender had a hard time. I didn't know that there was an obstacle on it.
Nowadays, more and more, like the word X Gender, we are beginning to recognize the existence of people without gender. X Gender seems to be a word born in Japan, but the point is to refer to people without gender. People who think that they are strange by gender are people who do not know whether they are male or female, or people who are "neutral".
By the way in the old days, hair removal, skin massage, beauty treatment, etc. were all said to belong to women. In 2 decades ago, the number of "men who want to be beautiful" increased, and the world has become more comfortable for men to use items and shops that were previously considered to be women's. And the more common media and SNS market products based on men, the more common sense is changed. The "common sense" that male customers are looking for gifts for women is abandoned, and it is recognized that they are looking for their own gifts instead.
My favorite artist Sam Smith had recently been featured on SNS saying he decided to call himself "they". So what is gender? Isn't the idea that you're wearing this makeup because you're a woman, and that you're a man, with your hair stripped, and that you're a woman so this this this... and a man that that that... Perhaps it's already a discriminatory term to say that you shouldn't cry because you're a man and that you shouldn't cross out if you're a woman. The "common sense" that women love men and that only men can marry has become "insane".
So why are some people who still do not allow same-sex marriage? Do they have the right to stop the act of people loving each other in the first place? Some people like bananas and some hate them. You wouldn't force them to eat Banana. You wouldn't say don't use left hand for a left-handed person. Looks the same to me. If you like it, you have it. Nobody can change anything. The same is true why women don't wear pants and men don't wear skirts. The skin color is the same. No matter what the color is, it doesn't really matter. It is the only thing that accepts the phenomenon of nature.
Now, in 2020, I hope that people will grow further with the rapid changes in this era. Humans are nothing more than tiny creatures on a cosmic scale. What do we need to hurt each other so much?
