[Today's Lisa Zate Topic] The Special in the big city
There is a place for people to relax in the middle of AUCKLAND. CORNWALL PARK.
history
The park was provided by a person named Sir John Logan Campbell, 425 acres (172 hectares), for the people of NZ to enjoy it forever for free. Even today, the trust is in charge of management and maintenance, and has inherited his will. Originally a philanthropic businessman, he is said to be the first European to come to Auckland.

This place is more than just a park, it is also a place where historical life, ecology, agriculture and wildlife come together. He also hopes that it is important to continue to protect this land not only in the past and now, but for the future as well as for the next generation of our generation.
Cornwall Park, also known as One Tree Hill, has set up an obelisk to honor the Maori people of Tamaki Makaraura of Sir John, hoping that he will be buried under it. The park is also considered a valuable heritage site, a UNESCO-registered historic site.

Nature & Events
Many cherry trees are planted here, and the time of their full bloom will soon come. Also, in the summer, it is crowded with people who enjoy BBQ, picnics, sports, etc. as a place for people to relax. Due to the abundance of trees and flowers, natural animals gather, and birds come from nowhere every year, making it a place where the earth and the earth produce abundant fruits.
Climbing to the obelisk is often visited by locals as well as tourist attractions that overlook the entire area of Auckland.
And after all, you can see animals such as sheep, cows, and horses in the immediate vicinity. The lawn has been maintained very well, so animals can enjoy the watery and solid lawn every year.

There may be numerous events taking place. Photo contests, CORNWALL PARK story corner, craft corners, children's DIY shops, guide walks, reading corners, etc. will resume once Corona's condition improves and reaches level 1.
Whether it's NY or Tokyo, it's a blessing to have such a place of relaxation in this busy and crowded area. We always want to use it with respect.
There is also an introduction on youtube, so please have a look.
