[Today's Lisa Zate Topic] Today's NZ News; One hour off from today

After the last Saturday of September, there is an hour off every Sunday at 2:00 am. In other words, it will be 3 o'clock. That morning, that is, today, set the clocks throughout the house that way. Someone also sets it at work in New Zealand.

In the first place, DAYLIGHT SAVING (DST) was thought by the United States to save energy during World War I, and it is said that it was also quoted in World War II, but here in NZ in 1895 Was discussed at the Wellington Philosophy Society, which advocates seasonal time adjustments, and actually began in 1909. This is now continuing DST in Australia, South Africa and the countries of the African continent located in the south, USA and so on. However, in Europe, there is an opinion to stop the DST now, and it is said that the DST in 2021 may be canceled although it will be restored standard time from October 25, 2020. The reason behind this is that they do not want to have new turmoil in the deterioration and collapse of the economic situation caused by the influence of this COVID.

It seems to continue here in New Zealand, but from today until April 4, 2021, it will be carried out to have an extra hour of long, bright summer evenings. Therefore, on winter nights, it starts to get dark at 5 o'clock, but it finally gets dark around 9 o'clock in the evening in our short beautiful summer season.

By the way, there are quite a few locals who don't know whether to move up or down an hour no matter how many years we have lived.
