 I didn't know that there was such a therapy, so I thought I was still lacking in knowledge. Aside from that, in a recent survey in NZ, 74% said they agreed with the ban of "Conversion Therapy", 14% disagreed, and the rest didn't know.

Conversion Therapy (excerpt from WIKIPEDIA)      is the pseudoscientific practice of trying to change an individual's sexual orientation from homosexual or bisexual to heterosexual using psychological, physical, or spiritual interventions. In other words, the idea is that gays need treatment on the premise that they think they are ill or mentally ill. This is largely based on religious ideas, and today it is changing to the idea that homosexuality is a natural phenomenon of us humans and we must accept it. .. ..As I say many times, no one has the right to change someone's "likes". No one can tell off if the person likes apple, "stop liking apples, eat strawberries". Some groups who still misunderstand or less knowledge oppose homosexual marriage, but they have no rights or qualifications, so it's useless to just demonstrate. If you like donuts, can you tell someone to eat donuts just because donuts is everyone's favorite food? So simple. 

If this goes on, it will be completely banned in NZ next year.
