[Today's Lisa Zate Topic] What's there between Common sense and Uncommon sense

This morning, I read a news from Japan that one of famous airlines had this passenger who rejected wearing a mask and so they had to landed on the way.

"Common sense" is really diverse and wide. I thought that what I had been taught at school was correct, and that everyday teaching from my parents made common sense. However, if you go out into society or go abroad, you are told that the idea was wrong. So what is common sense?

According to WIKIPEDIA; sound practical judgement concerning everyday matters, or a basic ability to perceive, understand, and judge that is shared by ("common to") nearly all people.

So where is the measuring rod that is "Common"? Do you all stand on the same line as "practical judgement"?

In this case, because the effect of the mask was not clearly defined in the first place, there were problems in believing it and not believing it. However, if you talk without a mask, it is certain that the droplets will be flying, and if you sneeze or cough, it will easily reach 3,4 m. In particular, many passengers feel uncomfortable because the cabin is closed area. This means that wearing a mask can protect people more than you from your own bacteria. I think that's my common sense. But people's are different.

In NZ, there are some people who are not the originators of unfair regulations. There are some "uncommon" things that have escaped from the facilities of quarantine even though they have returned from overseas. A cluster was formed from a strange place, and safe Auckland became a town of invisible virus again. What an immature judgment.

The United States and Brazil are now in trouble because their initial decisions were incorrect. Australia is also in trouble because of loose regulations. That "immature judgment" leads to such a situation. In other words, "social values, knowledge, and judgment" were not on the same line even among those who should lead the country.

There is no answer yet to the fear phenomenon of this virus that has been seen for the first time in the world. Why can't they just be polite when asked to do what other people are doing and they even say please to do so? It's simple. Is it wrong to put on such a mask? Is it something that cannot be done without being confirmed as a law or certificate? What do you do so stubbornly against?

I can't understand. But that's just a judgment in the "my common sense" frame. The frame is different for each person. Therefore, "common sense" is closely related to "uncommon" and may be meaningless. Rather than that, I think it wouldn't have happened if the passenger had a simple feeling of compassion that "think about others", yes it was so simple. I'm sure that i was told in the Kindergarten, you can't do whatever you like when you are with others. Think about them, feel about them, if people don't like it, do not do it.
