[Today's Lisa Zate topic] Eco activities, plastic impacts, problems

With respect to the problem of the global environment that has been said for many years, it is hoped that by 2020 some scientists or/and engineers will elucidate and invent it to become a more "environmentally friendly" environment. On the other hand, due to the increasing world population, there is a gap with the contradiction in the world that accompanies and it is hard to go in the right direction. Recently, 90% of plastic bags from supermarkets have disappeared, and a system that customers use their own bags has been introduced. However, plastic garbage bags, packaging, and drinking bottles and containers have not been improved yet, and it is not uncommon to see such scenes in some river in Africa.

Plastics exist in the first place as chains of molecules with processing oils and polymers. And it is possible to change the shape and color by adding various chemical substances. From tableware to packaging for containers, shoes, toys, straws, toothbrushes, sweets, shampoo, and copy ink are also plastic. Yes, plastic is everywhere. However, of course, medical institutions have the necessary equipment and instruments by plastic. Plastic is light, cheap and convenient. It allows us to store what we eat for a long time.

But plastic is a huge problem. What? Plastic is designed to last semi-permanently. It uses a lot of chemicals and is against nature. Plastic has no place like the river in this picture. Eventually, it reaches the sea and is occluded in one place by a circulation pattern and it looks like an island. In the thick nectar of the five major cycles (outside the GYRES), marine plants clutter the plastic in a mess. In addition, it was discovered that the plastic currently being flown contributes to the diffusion of invasive species. In other words, plastic acts as a transport mechanism. Crabs and algae are organisms that use this mechanism. Then, "the alien species" in the new environment may become invasive or destructive by changing the balance of the ecosystem.

It's also a matter of usage time. Most plastics are only required for convenience on basis. In other words, if we spend a lot of energy and time for such a short life of them, will become an "infinite life" and will sit in this nature without meaning. Otherwise, it will burn and spit out a large amount of toxins while waiting.

Recycling of plastics still accounts for less than 20% of the total, which also causes a great deal of energy and a huge complication that must be processed differently depending on the purpose and sizes.

The first method is, as much as we human beings can, only try to avoid using plastics, beside the minimum necessary places such as medical practice. Eliminate getting plastic and reduce production. We know that the natural world on earth is no longer infinite.
