[Today's Lisa Zate Topic] NZ News; The Weekends for Workers

Japan is already in autumn. Every year in Kyoto, temples and shrines open a garden that is not normally open to the public at the time of autumn leaves, and in Kanagawa, various events such as the opening of a cosmos garden and the flower festival in Fukuoka are held.

There aren't many events in NZ. The usual market is held on weekends as an event in each local, and especially big events such as Japan to attract visitors are not held very often.

This weekend, next Monday, there is a national holiday called LABOUR DAY. Every year on the last Monday of October, there is a holiday for Labour, or "workers". In fact, Labour day is the first country in the world to be started by NZ. In 1840, a carpenter won the eight-hour workday, and union members participated in a parade to honor it, and civil servants were given holidays to attend the parade. ..

However, because they were not legally qualified, many workers were still forced to work long hours, and the Liberal Party tried to legalize eight hours a day, but the government still could not strongly support the business community. It was finally recognized as a holiday in 1900 and decided to be Monday, October 1910. Since then, the people have enjoyed almost three consecutive holidays.

Many people go out to the beach to eat delicious food and relax, enjoy the early summer weather, and spend their time relaxing. Also, due to the influence of Corona this year, there are many people in shopping mode as a whole in NZ, and nearby shopping malls are crowded.

In the meantime, we will have another two months left this year.
