[Today's Lisa Zate Topic] Today's NZ News: Auckland CBD

It has changed a lot.

This is downtown NZ Auckland. It is called Auckland CBD (; Central Business District).

Although it is not the capital, it is the busiest place in NZ. Not only business buildings, but also many language schools and apartments are increasing, and so there are tall buildings.

In 2010, the population was said to be 40,000 around here, but now it has nearly doubled. (No, to be exact, there are few students from overseas and international students due to the influence of Corona, so not so much)

It is a very crowded place with trains, ferries and buses passing by. Moreover, subways are under construction in various parts of Auckland. That has affected ordinary roads, and the use of private cars is no longer recommended. A little more patience.

From here, it leads to QUEEN ST, VIADUCT, K RD, which is the central axis of the city, walk distance.

If you go east from CBD along the sea by bus, you can reach the famous high-class tourist spot MISSION BAY.

Mission Bay is very crowded with people playing on the beach, especially in the summer time. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes and ice cream shops, so it is one of the top 3 beaches in Auckland.
